Crownmex Exploration and Development Ltd is pleased to announce the formal secondment of four highly accomplished geoscientists to our multidisciplinary exploration team. This development stems from our strategic partnership with China CAMC Engineering Co. Ltd, and marks a major step forward in enhancing Crownmex EDL’s technical capabilities in oil and gas exploration within the Sokoto Basin.
These experts will contribute significantly to our ongoing efforts in basin analysis, seismic interpretation, data reprocessing, and hydrocarbon prospectivity modeling.
Meet the Seconded Experts
Dr. Li Yupeng
Expertise: Basin Depositional Analysis, Stratigraphy Analysis and Modeling, Reservoir Modeling
Dr. Li holds a PhD in Petroleum and Mining Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada. He is an accomplished reservoir modeler and research geologist with over a decade of experience integrating AI in geoscience. His professional background includes roles at CUPB and the Beijing Research Center of Saudi Aramco.
Dr. Gao Gang
Expertise: Organic Geochemistry, Oil and Gas Accumulation/Distribution, Resource Evaluation
A professor at China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Dr. Gao holds a PhD in Mineral Resources Prospecting and Exploration. He is a leading voice in petroleum geochemistry with over 80 publications, monographs, and textbooks to his name.
Dr. Sun Simin
Expertise: Seismic Data Interpretation, Structural Analysis, Resource Evaluation
Dr. Sun earned his PhD in Geological Engineering and specializes in seismic data acquisition and reservoir prediction. He brings a robust academic and practical background in structural geology to Crownmex EDL’s exploration program.
Dr. Wan Zhenzhu
Expertise: Geochemistry, Paleo-environment Analysis, Stratigraphy
Dr. Wan received her PhD in Geology from the University of Cincinnati, USA. With prior experience at Saudi Aramco, she now oversees academic publications and brings a multidisciplinary lens to geochemical and stratigraphic analysis.
